I used to volunteer at my local shelter, helping to photograph the animals. One day we had this entire litter of kittens and I couldn’t resist their cuddles. ~Ellen, Michigan, U.S.A.
As the days goes on, my heart grows & grows full of love for not only my boyfriend but to my little fur baby. There is not a time in the day where she doesn’t want to play. If your doing something with your hands, she will take her toy & bring it right into my hand then try’s to grab my hand to get the tug-a-war toy. She has also developed this tactic where she kicks her back legs & makes this noise that makes me giggle each time. She will jump on my back if I’m putting my shoes on or she will try & get onto your lap while your putting them on so she can get all the attention in the world. It doesn’t matter what we are doing, she will find a way to get attention. She is the most sweetest pup ever. She isn’t a rescue pup but she is definitely my crazy loveable girl. I love her with so much love & she shows the same amount of love back. She is my pride & joy. There isn’t a time where you don’t see her with us. She even follows me to the bathroom. 🙂 I love my Sheila Babie. <3

We have two feral cats we rescued from our local animal shelter when they were kittens Ronnie (aka Little Bit) and Reagan. Had we not rescued them they would have been put down. Ronnie got very sick right after we got her. We took her to the vet and he didn’t think she would make it and offered to put her down. My husband said no, he wanted to give her a chance. So the vet gave us some medicine to put muscle on her. We had to force feed her every 4 hours (around-the-clock) and give her the medicine every 6 hours (also around-the-clock). My husband and I worked together for a couple of weeks and surprisingly she survived. Today she is a vibrant and healthy cat who knows 2 speeds– stop and full speed. She loves torturing her sister Reagan, and her daddy when he’s trying to eat his breakfast and supper. Both cats love snuggling with my husband and I as we are watching TV. Here is a picture of me with our two cats (Ronnie is the one laying at my feet, Reagan is the one closest to me.).

As happens most evenings in my household, my husband, our daughter who lives with us, our three dogs, and I spend the evening watching Netflix on a large-screened TV. This is sheer joy to me because these sweet fur babies have developed the habit of the two Toy Fox Terriers–the oldest who is a rescue dog and the next older one–lying on each side of me under a quilt covering them and me on the couch. The youngest lies on top of the quilt and can be seen in the photo, making him able to frequently reach for my attention in every position he assumes and because he is a long-haired chihuahua and more comfortable on top. I love them with a passion and they respond the same to me. My husband says I am as close to a dog whisperer as he has ever known!
