Man Rescues Dog from Hot Car, Gets Arrested

By Kimberli Bindschatel

Veteran Arrested For Saving Dog In Hot Car Has No Regrets
I’ll probably get arrested some day too. The article gives no details, but it is clear the man acted in the interests of the animal. (So glad to see the woman was cited.) What do you think? Is it right that he got arrested? Or should he get a medal for heroism? If a baby was left in the car, should he call the police, wait for however long for them to get there, maybe ask around to see if the parents were in the nearby store? Why is this any different?
