Humpback Whale, Bahía de Banderas, Mexico

On my way to Maui for the first time to photograph whales. Supposed to be the best whale watching in the world. I can’t wait. My experiences in Alaska and Mexico will be hard to beat. This image was made the first time I visited Banderas Bay, a mating and birthing area for humpback whales. Nothing compares to being in the presence of these magnificent creatures. To hear them breathe. I’m moved every time.
